Medicago develops and manufactures a selected range of immuno reagents, including EC-Blue Enhanced™ Substrate (TMB) and p-Nitrophenyl Phosphate Substrate (pNPP).

Immuno reagents are crucial to all types of immunological research, indicating how antibodies, antigens and inflammatory processes work, for example, the effect of enzymes on immunological activities.
EC-Blue Enhanced™ and pNPP
Medicago’s best-selling immuno reagents EC-Blue Enhanced™ and pNPP are both substrates for immuno assays operating on antibodies and antigens. While pNPP has a broader application spectrum, EC-Blue Enhanced™ is mainly used for ELISA applications such as Medicago’s Protein L Ligand Leakage ELISA kit
Urea
Urea (carbamide) is an organic compound with the chemical formula (NH2)2CO, which is extensively used in proteomics and molecular biology. Applications for Medicago's urea product include denaturation of proteins and protein refolding, in which the protein unfolds its structures and exposes all sites to simplify analysis.
Agarose for DNA electrophoresis
Electrophoresis is a common laboratory technique used to identify and quantify nucleic acid fragments. Medicago's product Agarose for DNA electrophoresis is used to separate DNA or RNA molecules based on their size and electric charge. The large pore size, low electroendosmosis and strength of the matrix make the product advantageous over other media such as polyacrylamide in many applications.
pH meter calibration kit
Medicago’s pH meter calibration kit includes three different buffer solutions of pH 4.0, pH 7.0 and pH 9.0, respectively. The kit comes delivered ready to use with pre-filled test tubes for single use and with a tube holder included.
Ionic compound reagents
Our potassium chloride reagents are used extensively in laboratories worldwide. Common applications for these reagents are as pH electrode storage buffer solution and as reference solution for samples. Also available from Medicago are sodium chloride (NaCl) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) reagents.
Boric acid
Boric acid is commonly used in general laboratory work, e.g. as a mild disinfection agent or in the medical field as a preservative or bactericide. Medicago’s boric acid is easy to use and delivered as tablets, which eliminates the exposure to dust in the preparation process.
